Tua Rita is a winery situated in Suvereto, Tuscany. When Rita and Virgilio bought it in 1984, the land was supposed to offer just the picturesque surroundings in which they would live in touch with nature. Those original 2 hectares of vines have now become 51 hectares.
Today, what started as amusing ‘vins de garage’, are wines that are exported everywhere in the world thanks to the marketing of Rita and Virgilio’s son-in-law, Stefano Frascolla.
Deriving from the harmony of their passion for wine making and the potential that the earth provides, the philosophy of their enterprise is for uncompromised quality.
The vineyards are managed with the fundamental objective of helping the plants to protect themselves by guaranteeing, above all, the health of the soil and the environment by employing natural procedures.
Tua Rita’s land lies on a gentle, continuous slope, in that strip of land in the Alta Maremma whose name derives from the Colline Metallifere (the Tuscan mining geopark). The wines, which are of different composition, have one element in common: the personality of this earth with its ferrous notes and a penetrating and rapid, progressive development of their flavour.

TUSCAN FLAVOUR, TUA RITA & POGGIOARGENTIERA – 45min – € 23pp
Your journey begins in the tasting room, a setting that speaks for itself: it has two souls, opposite in style, that represent the perennial dialogue between Tua Rita’s past and present. You then take a stroll through the vineyard which ends in tasting 4 wines, 2 from Tua Rita and 2 from PoggioArgentiera which is a winemaking company in the heart of the Maremma, bought by Tua Rita in 2015.
Tasting: Perlato del Bosco Vermentino Tua Rita, Rosso dei Notri Tua Rita, Bellamarsilia Morellino di Scansano PoggioArgentiera, and Maremmante PoggioArgentiera. With a platter of local cured meats and cheeses. 
FROM GRAPE TO LIFE – 60min – € 35pp
After being welcomed in our tasting room, you will wander between vineyards and cellars. This is the way to better understand the extraordinary route that wine takes, from raw material to precious nectar.
Tasting: Perlato del Bosco Vermentino, Rosso dei Notri, Perlato del Bosco rosso. With a platter of local cured meats and cheeses.
THE WINE ROOM – 90min – € 70pp
After being welcomed in our tasting room and a pleasant walk between the rows of vines, the story takes you to the cellar and ends in the evocative barrique cellar which is where the wine, in its ceaseless and astonishing progress, rests. And improves.
Tasting: Rosso dei Notri, Perlato del Bosco rosso and Giusto di Notri and a barrel tasting with a platter of local cured meats and cheeses
TUA RITA WILDE & CHIC – 120min – max 4 people – € 100pp
After being welcomed in our tasting room and the visit to the vineyard, you will visit the winemaking and fining cellars. The journey then starts again out in the open in a Jeep. You will end with a delicious picnic between the rows of vines. It is an all-round sensorial experience for you to enjoy the infinite variety that nature provides.
Tasting: Lodano Bianco and Perlato del Bosco rosso (The wines will then be offered to you to take with you when you leave).

Very beautiful winery and the most stunning tasting room I’ve ever seen.
It was also interesting to have an experience of barrel tasting. The wine tasting itself was nice, but as the expectations were high, I wasn’t that amazed but the wines.
However, obviously the wines are very good.
