In the center of the Cornia Valley alongside the main road to Suvereto we can already discover the first vineyards belonging to our Azienda Rigoli. The territory extends from the borders of the province Livorno and Grosseto to the south of Bolgheri, enclosed in the Ore Mountains of the Alta Maremma.
A marvellous landscape with invaluable historical and archeological sites. This scarce scenery is enriched by the vineyards at the foot of the Monte Calvi. A variety of important wines are firmly established in this sector and can be found on the Etruscan Coast Wine and Olive Oil Road. The D.O.C. Cornia Valley is part of the afore mentioned region.
Our Azienda Rigoli fits in seamlessly into this context. Ever since the 60s and 70s wine for personal consumption was produced on the Azienda. During the 80s our family steadily improved production to achieve the high standard of the D.O.C. Cornia Valley wines.
In the 90s the vineyard and our portfolio of grapevines was expanded. To the indigenous grapes of Sangiovese and Ansonica we added Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Vermentino. Today, belonging to the Azienda are approximately seven hectares of vineyards and two hectares of olive groves. The Mediterranean brushwood is spread thickly on the hill tops and south of them, facing the sun, lie the vineyards on the foot of the hills. A micro climate allowing the grapes to ripen perfectly. TASTING WITH ACCOMPANIMENTS – € 20pp
Hours 09:00-18:00 – min. 2 people
this consists of tasting several of the wines produced by the company, together with traditional meats and cheeses from the local area.
This type of tasting is held in the tasting room, where the producer will also explain the features of the estate, the production methods and the characteristics of the wine.
As well as the wines you will also have the opportunity to taste the IGP olive oils that we produce on the estate.
WINE TOUR AND TASTING – 1h – € 30pp
Hours 09:00-18:00 – min. 2 people
The tour consists in a walking in a part of the vineyards of the estate, the visit of wine cellar and the Barriccaia (barrels room) at the end wine tasting.

Gehaald op de camping door de eigenaar die onderweg met leuke weetjes kwam. Hij deed dit in zijn beste Engels. Daarna een rondleiding gehad over de wijngaard waar er veel verteld wordt over de soorten wijn en waar opgelet wordt tijdens het oogsten. Daarna de wijnmakerij in was klein maar overzichtelijk. Toen naar de proeverij met heerlijke streekproducten. En heerlijke wijn. Ook de olijfolie moet genoemd worden deze was ook zeer goed. Dank U wel voor de leuke rondleiding die met veel passie werd gegeven

We took the tour to visit the Wineyard and had a very nice Winetasting afterwards. Everything was super tasty. We can really recommend this place to those who want to see a rustic,family run Wineyard.
